Representatives from Pharmacological and Therapeutic Society of Thailand visited Chinese Pharmacological Society
Five representatives from Thailand, including the past president of Pharmacological and Therapeutic Society of Thailand (PTST), Professor of Burapha University, Ms Mayuree Tantisira, visited Chinese Pharmacological Society (CNPHARS) and Institute of Materia Medica (IMM), CAMS on May 15th, 2014. Dr. Xin Mu, the director of CNPHARS Office, and Dr. Ying Zhao, the secretary of CNPHARS Office, accepted Professor Tantisira鈥檚 group on behalf of Professor Guanhua Du, the president of CNPHARS.
Professor Jiandong Jiang, the executive director of CNPHARS, the director of IMM, firstly gave the welcome speech to Thai friends. Dr. Li Zhang, the vice-director of Foreign Affairs Office, IMM, briefly introduced IMM, and Professor Tantisira introduced PTST and the Burapha University. Dr. Ying Zhao introduced CNPHARS to Thai friends and the two societies gave presents to each other. CNPHARS office also forwarded a new book edited by Professor Guanhua Du to Professor Mayuree Tantisira, and conveyed Professor Du鈥檚 desire to strengthen association and promote cooperation with PTST. After the talks, Thai guests visited the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, National Center for Pharmaceutical Screening, and the office of CNPHARS in IMM, and then visited the Temple of Heaven led by CNPHARS staff member.
The successful visit of Thai representatives would establish a good foundation for the deep communication and cooperation between the pharmacologists from China and Thailand in the future.
