Prof. Jianguo Chen

Jian-Guo Chen, M.D., Ph.D., Professor, the Chair of the Department of Pharmacology, Dean of Tongji Medical College, Vice-President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. He is currently the vice-president of the Chinese Pharmacological Society (CPS), the vice-chairman of the Committee of Neuropsychopharmacology of CPS. He is also a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, Distinguished Professor of Yangtze Program, Chief Scientist of the National 973 Program and the Innovative Group of the NSFC. He has received a doctor degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany and obtained the postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa, USA. His laboratory focuses on the cognitive disorders, depression, anxiety, drug addiction and drug intervention, and has published more than 120 papers on peer-reviewed journals such as Nature Neuroscience, Biological Psychiatry, Molecular Psychiatry et al. He has won the first prize of Natural Science of both the Ministry of Education and Hubei Province of China. |
